A Message from Hanna

Welcome home

A warm welcome to the TrueSelf Project™. I am Hanna, the founder of this space,
and everything I bring into this work I have first lived through myself.
I know from the inside what it is to arrive at a crisis you cannot think your
way out of, and what it takes to find your way back to yourself slowly and well.

This is the container I needed when my own life asked for depth.
Here we work with all of you, body, mind, emotions and Soul Spirit,
so that no part of you is asked to wait outside the door.
It is where you can meet your shadows without being overwhelmed by them,
remember who you really are beneath the layers of conditioning,
and return to your True Essence, with structure, reverence and complete safety.

If you have found your way here, part of you is already ready to be met.
You are welcome, exactly as you are.

My Story

Where I come from, and how I found my way back to myself

Everything I bring into my work, I have lived through myself. My work is about presence, intuition and the wisdom of the body. I create a space where you can meet your shadows, find your light again, and return to your True Essence.

Long before I knew why

My fascination with people started long before my career did, even if back then I could not see where it was leading me. Through my youth I was a Scout Leader, looking after children and young people. Without realising it, I was learning what makes people tick, how they behave in a group, and how to talk to all kinds of people.

At 15 I started working in our family grocery shop. First I stacked shelves, then I took care of deliveries, by 17 I was doing the accounts, and by 18 I was co-running the business. At the same time I was teaching mathematics as a private tutor. Then came university and student associations. All of it taught me how differently people see the world, and how many invisible threads connect us.

You may say it all looks very smart and professional… and it was. I was a high achiever with no spirituality at all. I was raised Catholic, and from a very young age I felt that something was not right about it. I always sensed there was something more, something I could not see. But the story told by the church, and pushed on me by family, school and society, only made me doubt it more. In secret, I decided that if this was God, I would stay away. It felt so fake. So not me.

From the boardroom to the sacred space

I hold a Master’s Degree in Economics and Foreign Trade, and my first specialisation was in Mathematics. For over twenty years I worked in the corporate world, in senior leadership roles in security and facilities management.

In the early stages of my career, most of my work was really about people: colleagues, subcontractors, clients and employees, and everything going on between them. I was studying human behaviour every single day, long before I had the words for it. Later, in contract security, I led large projects, assessed risks, managed multi-million-pound portfolios and carried out sensitive HR (Human Resources) investigations.

And just as I was reaching what you could call my “dream job”, I realised that the reality around me was not what I thought it was. Everything I believed would make me happy (power, respect, money, travel) was making me more and more miserable, disconnected… inhuman. It started with rationalising every decision and believing that the stronger one always wins. Then I switched off my emotions, because they made me look weak. Then I chose the wrong people as mentors. I started treating people like objects, seeing the world through numbers, wins and statistics, and using alcohol to relax… until I was completely disconnected from my TrueSelf. The worst part was that I brought that same cold, calculating person home and pulled away from my amazing, loving family.

My spiritual crisis, and my awakening

The crisis came just as my career was taking off. For a while I hid it very well, but at home it was harder. My emotions started pouring out and I could not control them. Everything that used to make sense now had so many facades. I started to feel vibrations in my body. The nights were the worst. Every night my dreams took me into unknown lands, where my psyche was trying to digest everything I had pushed down and hidden for years. It became so intense that I developed insomnia, because I did not want to fall asleep. The high and often ethically questionable expectations at work, which I used to meet with such precision, started to eat me from the inside out. Every day I became more emotional. You can imagine what happened next…

…Today I see it as the best thing that has ever happened to me. At the time, it felt as though the world I had so carefully built was collapsing around me and there was nothing I could do. It was painful, but in that pain I found relief. I was very lucky to have such a loving family. My mum came to the UK to look after my children, while my husband took care of everything else. I had the time and space to focus on myself and to transform.

That is when I discovered the power of hypnotherapy. After a series of sessions with a therapist, I decided to learn it myself. Very quickly I found that I had a natural ability to dive into the mind and find my way around it. I could see the links between events, find where a trauma came from and resolve it. It was very similar to what I had done in security for years. The difference was that I was no longer working in the outside, material world. I was working on the inner canvas of the human psyche. I fell in love with hypnotherapy, and in return she saved my life.

I became my own first client. For months I journeyed back to my childhood, finding the roots of my problems and healing them. Sometimes I stayed in trance for hours. Slowly something began to shift. I started to remember who I really was: who I was when I was born, before anyone told me how I should be. That discovery changed everything. From there I began travelling to my past lives, collecting memories and sometimes recovering broken or lost parts of my soul. There I met a part of me who once worked closely with plant spirits, so I decided to try it, and there I met my ancestors. As I gained experience of holotropic journeys, I went further than I thought a human could. I soon discovered that I did not need plants to travel. I could simply leave my mind, and later my body, and go wherever I wanted. I visited other worlds and galaxies and met many beautiful forms of life.

I will never forget the moment I discovered for myself who God really was. It is something I cannot put into words, but I will try. It is breathtaking, unconditionally loving light that vibrates, effortlessly and unstoppably, in total unity with everything that exists, in a moment with no beginning and no end that simply is. You may think I went crazy. I will not hide it: there were moments when I thought so too. But then…

What changed inside, changed outside

…those experiences, and many others, completely changed the way I looked at reality. Then reality looked back at me and started to change too. It started with people. Those who no longer fitted my new “person-reality” left, often in the most amazing circumstances, making space for the new. I found myself surrounded by loving, caring people who helped me grow, and who invited me into their journeys too.

The same happened in every part of my life. The bond and love in my family grew stronger and stronger. I understood my parents, and why they made their mistakes even though they loved me so much. For the first time I saw my husband as my soulmate, not only my daily companion. My relationship with my children matured. I began to see how their little souls had been trying to be heard and loved, without expectations and without obligations. I found myself in a beautiful house in the countryside, surrounded by animals and nature, far from the noise and clatter of everyday life. There I found my bond with Gaia, our Mother Earth, and with the elements, which have been my teachers and companions ever since. I discovered that I could do so many things, and that I could become whoever I wanted to be. Learning, studying and working had never felt so easy, light and fast. Everything just kept clicking into place.

I could go on forever, but I am sure you get the point. What changed inside me changed outside me, and it stayed. I now have a beautiful, strong and unbroken connection with my TrueSelf, with my Essence, my Soul.

Why my old life still matters

People are sometimes surprised that I went from corporate security to transpersonal work. To me, the two are not so far apart. For twenty years my job was to keep people safe when things got chaotic. I assessed risks, calmed conflicts and stayed steady when everyone else was under pressure. I still do the same thing, but now the space I protect is psychological and spiritual. I bring the structure and clear thinking of my corporate years into every session. So when you go into the deepest and most vulnerable parts of yourself, you are held by someone with both feet firmly on the ground.

So here is where I bow to my old life: to everything it taught me, and to all the pain it carried. Without it, I would not understand reality the way it really is, and I would not be able to stay grounded in it. I truly believe that without those long years of holding on to the cold, hard, real world, my spiritual awakening could have turned into mental illness. And this is the beauty I discovered in the duality of life. You cannot truly know love until you have known its opposite: the coldness, the hatred, the pain, the dark side of it. One gives meaning to the other.

My qualifications

So that is how I got to where I am now. Of course, the world still finds it hard to see the real you. It always asks for evidence, and it likes to hear that someone who already has the paper has certified that you can do it too. So I went back to school. I studied hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), holotropic breathwork, SandStory®, modern shamanism and more. I got the paper, put it on the wall, and felt no different from before. Still, I understand that you need to show what is written on that piece of paper. It builds trust and gives us both a chance for that first conversation, in a world of social media and endless options.

When you read stories like mine (and there are many), you notice something. Paradoxically, however special we all feel, transformations tend to look pretty much the same. In the end, we all want to show others how we did it and help them get there too. I am no different.

Why I created TrueSelf Project™

I created TrueSelf Project™ to share my experience with others, and also to make sure that what lives inside me can truly show on the outside. I believe there is a moment when your True Self is simply who you are, a person with nothing left to hide. Everything inside has been digested and sorted, and there is nothing left to be ashamed of or afraid of.

So this project has two roles. It is here to help you discover your own True Self, and it is here to help me become an even truer version of myself than I am today. I keep learning, because I believe the best way to support others is to keep growing myself. Whether we are clearing an old trauma, working with an ancestral pattern in the sand, travelling through consciousness with the breath, or reconnecting with Mother Earth and the elements, my role is to give you a safe, steady base so that your own inner healer can come forward.

This journey never ends. Please do not think I have arrived, done it all and got the T-shirt. I have not, and I do not believe anyone ever does. I simply invite you to join my journey, and I hope you will let me become a part of yours.

Accessibility & Inclusion

“A profoundly safe container must first honour the physical body, granting the soul the absolute freedom to undertake its deepest work.”

True healing requires a space where every individual feels comprehensively held, seen, and structurally supported. At the TrueSelf Project™, our commitment to accessibility is woven into the very architecture of our practice, ensuring an unshakeable anchor for your journey.

The Digital Sanctuary

We have intentionally designed our digital space to be an intuitive, seamless experience, compatible with screen readers and assistive technologies. If you encounter any barriers as you navigate these pages, please share your experience with us. We will gladly adapt and provide the information in a format that works for you.

The Physical Container

Our therapies, events, and experiential workshops are held within carefully curated community and home-based spaces, and certain one-to-one modalities, such as Hypnotherapy, Inner Child Journey, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), may also be offered online or at your own home, depending on what best supports your process. Because each of these spaces is different, the level of physical accessibility, including step-free access, seating, parking, and toilet facilities, varies from venue to venue. Before you book, we will share the specific accessibility details for the venue hosting your session or event, so that you can make an informed decision about whether it is right for you. For online sessions, please let us know in advance if you use any assistive technology, so that we can check our video-calling platform and any materials are compatible.

Because each body’s requirements are deeply unique, we invite you to connect with us prior to booking if you have specific needs regarding mobility, seating, diet, sensory environment, technology, or other physical accommodations. We will hold a supportive dialogue to ensure all reasonable adjustments are made, allowing your inner healer to emerge safely.

Ceremony, Scent, and the Sensory Environment

Some of our offerings, particularly within Ceremonial and Ritual Work, may include the use of scent and smoke, for example from palo santo wood or white sage, as well as other plant-based elements offered as part of a ceremony. Full information about these elements, including contraindications, is set out in the Terms and Conditions of Engagement.

These elements are entirely optional. You are warmly welcome to decline any or all of them without affecting your participation or the welcome you receive. If you have a respiratory condition, a sensitivity to smoke or strong scent, are pregnant, or simply prefer a fragrance-free environment, please let us know in advance, so that we can discuss the sensory environment for your session and make adjustments, such as additional ventilation, an alternative space, or omitting these elements altogether.

Working Together on Adjustments

We take seriously our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 to consider reasonable adjustments for disabled clients, and we aim to anticipate likely needs rather than wait to be asked. The adjustments we are able to offer will depend on factors such as the nature of the venue, the practicalities of the modality being offered, and the resources available to us. Where a particular adjustment cannot be made, for example because a home-based venue does not have step-free access, we will discuss alternatives with you, which may include a different venue, an adapted format, or an alternative appointment time.

Privacy & Confidentiality

“Profound transpersonal expansion requires a deeply secure foundation. Your privacy is the absolute boundary that allows your inner healer to safely emerge.”

At the TrueSelf Project™, we recognise that sharing your personal and medical history is an act of profound trust. Drawing upon over two decades of professional experience, we structure our data protection with uncompromising rigour. We hold your information as sacredly as we hold the energy of our physical spaces, creating an unshakeable anchor so your soul has the freedom to undertake its deepest work.

Who We Are

This policy is issued by True Self Project Group Ltd, company number 16747859, (referred to here as “we”, “us”, or “the TrueSelf Project™”), the data controller responsible for your personal information. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZC077549.

If you have any questions about this policy, or wish to exercise any of the rights set out below, please contact us:

The Foundation of Trust

To build a highly structured, profoundly safe container for your journey, we collect only what is strictly necessary:

  • Essential Coordinates: your name, email address, phone number, and physical address, for seamless communication.
  • Emergency Anchors: next of kin details, ensuring a complete, uncompromising web of physical safety.
  • Medical Blueprints: questionnaires and consent forms required to ensure your biological and psychological suitability for all the modalities offered, including, where relevant to Ceremonial and Ritual Work, specific questions about eye conditions, any use of tobacco or nicotine, cardiac health, and current medications, so that any plant-based elements offered as part of a ceremony can be discussed safely with you in advance.
  • Transactional Details: payment information, used solely to process your booking.
  • The Digital Footprint: information collected through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website, as described under Cookies and Your Digital Footprint below.

Special Category (Health) Data and Your Explicit Consent

The medical information you share with us, including details of any physical, psychiatric, or psychological conditions, is classed in law as “special category data” and is given extra protection.

Before any session or event, we will ask you to complete a medical questionnaire. This questionnaire contains its own, separate consent statement, asking you to explicitly agree to the TrueSelf Project™ processing this health information for the purpose of assessing your suitability for the modality offered and ensuring your safety during it. This explicit consent is in addition to, and separate from, your general agreement to these terms when booking.

Where you choose to take part in any element of Ceremonial and Ritual Work involving the plant-based elements described in the Terms and Conditions of Engagement, the same medical questionnaire and explicit consent cover the additional health information relevant to those elements, such as eye conditions, tobacco or nicotine use, cardiac health, and current medications.

You are free to withdraw this consent at any time, although we may not be able to provide certain modalities to you if we no longer hold the health information needed to assess your safety.

Holding the Container

Your data serves one precise purpose: the structural integrity of your healing experience. We use it to organise and deliver our workshops flawlessly, ensuring that we, alongside any carefully selected co-facilitators or contracted practitioners holding space at your specific event, are fully aware of your unique medical landscape where this is necessary for your safety. It allows us to communicate vital information before and after the event, and guarantees we can reach your emergency contacts if ever required.

Where we use external providers to support our work, such as booking platforms, payment processors, or email services, these providers act on our instructions and under appropriate confidentiality and data protection agreements. They are not third parties to whom we “share” your data in the everyday sense; they are processors who help us hold the container.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain your personal and medical information for seven years from the date of your last engagement with us, reflecting standard accounting requirements and the time limits that normally apply to personal injury claims under English law. Where a longer period is required by our insurers, or by law, for example in connection with a safeguarding matter, we will retain the relevant information for that longer period. Once the relevant retention period has ended, your information is permanently and securely destroyed.

Where we hold records relating to a participant under the age of eighteen, we retain those records until their twenty-fifth birthday (or their twenty-sixth birthday if they were seventeen when our work together concluded), in line with standard safeguarding record-keeping practice, or for longer if a longer period is required by law or by our insurers.

Where Your Information Is Held

We take care to ensure that any organisations that store or process your information on our behalf do so securely. Where any of these organisations are based outside the United Kingdom, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations, so that your information continues to receive a level of protection equivalent to that provided under United Kingdom data protection law. This includes any video-calling platform used for online sessions, for example Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, where these are based outside the United Kingdom.

The Absolute Boundary

Your medical and personal narratives are treated as strictly confidential. This is not merely an administrative policy; it is the structural framework of our therapeutic relationship.

All medical questionnaires are secured behind rigorous digital boundaries, accessible exclusively to our core facilitation team and, only when strictly necessary for your physical and emotional safety, our vetted co-facilitators.

Cookies and Your Digital Footprint

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies, which are strictly necessary for the website to function securely, do not require your consent.

If we use any other cookies, for example for analytics or marketing purposes, we will ask for your consent to these through a cookie banner when you first visit the site, and you may withdraw this consent at any time through your cookie settings.

Children and Young People

Some of our modalities, such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) or SandPlay® Therapy, may be offered to participants under the age of eighteen, where this is appropriate and agreed in advance. Where we work with anyone under eighteen, we collect the personal and health information described in this policy from, or with the involvement of, a parent or other person with parental responsibility, who will also complete the relevant consent forms on the young person’s behalf.

Depending on the young person’s age and the modality, a parent, guardian, or other appropriate adult will normally be present, or readily available, for the duration of the session.

We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously. Hanna holds a criminal record check carried out as part of her Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence. Where we work with anyone under eighteen, this sits alongside the parental or guardian involvement and presence arrangements described above as part of our safeguarding approach.

Ceremonial and Ritual Work, including any of the plant-based elements described in the Terms and Conditions of Engagement, is offered only to participants aged eighteen and over. This applies regardless of any arrangements made for other modalities, and without exception where an element contains tobacco.

Your Sovereignty and Consent

You remain the sovereign author of your narrative. Under data protection law, you hold the right to:

  • request access to the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to amend, restrict, or erase your personal data, subject to overarching legal and safety requirements;
  • request the transfer of your data to another provider; and
  • withdraw consent where consent is the basis for our processing, as described above.

We will never share your information with third parties, beyond the processors and co-facilitators described above, without your explicit consent, unless compelled by law.

Should you ever feel your privacy has not been held to the highest standard, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

  • Organisation name: True Self Project Group Ltd
  • Reference: ZC077549

By booking an event with the TrueSelf Project™, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. Where we require your explicit consent for special category (health) data, this is sought separately, as described above. Where photographs or recordings are taken at group events as described in the Terms and Conditions of Engagement, you have the right to opt out, as explained there.

Terms & Conditions of Engagement

Welcome to the TrueSelf Project™.

To ensure the integrity of this space, the following Terms and Conditions form the foundational architecture of our work together. By choosing to step into this sanctuary and booking any service, you align with these agreements.

I. The Ethos and Scope of Practice

The TrueSelf Project™ offers a bespoke tapestry of transformative modalities, workshops, and events designed to dismantle deeply rooted blocks, rewrite ancestral programming, and bypass the analytical ego to facilitate deep biological and cosmic healing.

This agreement applies broadly to all therapeutic modalities, sessions, and events offered under the TrueSelf Project™ umbrella. Please note that while our approach is designed for deep self-exploration and personal development, it is not a substitute for traditional medical treatment or clinical psychotherapy.

A full scope of offered modalities, to which these Terms and Conditions apply, is published on www.trueselfproject.co.uk.

Sessions and ceremonies are offered in person at our venues or other community spaces, at your own home, at Hanna’s practice space, or online by video call, depending on the modality and what best supports your process.

II. The TrueSelf Project™ Container and Process

Our spaces are meticulously structured to activate the natural inner healing intelligence of your psyche.

  • The Structure: every session unfolds within a highly secure, intentional framework. Whether in a one-on-one trance state or a communal workshop, the facilitator acts as a steady witness and guide, holding a safe boundary so you can fully surrender to your inner process.
  • The Journey: each modality offers a direct experience of expanded awareness or subconscious realignment. Every individual’s experience is unique, guided entirely by their own inner process.
  • Energy Release and Processing: if you feel stuck or sense that your session is incomplete, gentle interventions or focused somatic release work may be used. This process is always led by you; the facilitator never directs it without consent, ensuring you remain in full control at all times.

III. Medical and Psychological Boundaries

Because transpersonal and somatic work can involve strong emotional and physical release, absolute transparency regarding your health is a non-negotiable requirement. This information is collected at the point of booking and refreshed periodically through an online form. Please see our Privacy and Confidentiality policy for more details.

None of the modalities offered by the TrueSelf Project™ are a treatment, diagnosis, or cure for any medical or psychiatric condition. They are offered for the purposes of personal development, relaxation, and self-exploration only, and are not a substitute for medical or psychological care.

This applies equally to any plant-based elements offered as part of Ceremonial and Ritual Work, as described in section VIII below: these are offered for ceremonial, ritual, and wellbeing purposes only, are not medicines, and are not presented as a treatment, diagnosis, or cure for any condition, in line with guidance from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the Advertising Standards Authority’s Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Code.

Our intensive processes are contraindicated and generally not suitable for individuals currently experiencing:

  • Pregnancy
  • Cardiovascular disease, including heart attacks, angina, or previous surgery
  • Severe hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Diagnosed ongoing psychiatric conditions or previous recent psychiatric hospitalisation
  • Recent surgery, fractures, or major trauma
  • Acute infectious or communicable illnesses
  • Epilepsy, seizures, or neurological conditions
  • Glaucoma, retinal detachment, or any other significant eye condition
  • Osteoporosis
  • Some active spiritual emergencies (enquire within)
  • Use of medications that may interact with plant-based remedies, including monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)

If you are unsure whether this work is appropriate for you, please contact us. You must also consult your physician or therapist prior to attending, particularly if you are considering any element of Ceremonial and Ritual Work and have any of the conditions described above or in section VIII below.

IV. The Agreements of the Space

To maintain the pristine, high-end, and deeply secure nature of the TrueSelf Project™, all participants are bound by the following obligations:

  1. Substance Sobriety: you will not bring or use any illegal substances at the venue or on the day of your session. This does not apply to any plant-based elements offered by us as part of Ceremonial and Ritual Work, which are described, and subject to separate consent, in section VIII below.
  2. Radical Responsibility: you are fully responsible for your own physical and psychological health and healthcare.
  3. Sacred Confidentiality: you will treat all personal information shared by other participants in group settings as strictly confidential.
  4. Honouring the Container: you will remain for the entire duration of the session to complete the full process; early departures must be discussed with the facilitator first.
  5. Facilitator Authority: if the facilitator determines that a specific modality is not appropriate for you, they reserve the right to discontinue your participation to protect your wellbeing. Where this occurs, we will discuss with you whether a partial refund, a credit towards an alternative modality, or another outcome is appropriate, taking into account the circumstances and any costs already incurred.
  6. Respecting the Lineage: you will not use any of the processes, techniques, or skills learned from our space outside the session unless you have completed the appropriate practitioner training yourself.

V. Acknowledgement of Risk and Voluntary Participation

By entering the TrueSelf Project™ space, you acknowledge that you participate entirely voluntarily and at your own risk. You understand that deep subconscious and transpersonal work is highly subjective, that specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and that the process may involve strong emotional, physical, or somatic responses. You accept responsibility for any physical, emotional, or psychological effects that may arise during or after the process, save where these effects are caused by our negligence or breach of duty, as set out in the Limitation of Liability section below.

Where you choose to take part in any element of Ceremonial and Ritual Work, the additional acknowledgements set out in section VIII below also apply.

VI. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to the paragraph above, Hanna Kupny, True Self Project Group Ltd, and any assisting staff or contracted practitioners will not be liable to you for any loss, damage, illness, or injury arising from your participation in our sessions, events, or workshops, except where this arises from our negligence or breach of duty.

Where our liability is not excluded by law and arises other than through death or personal injury, our total liability to you in connection with any session, event, or workshop is limited to the fees you paid for that session, event, or workshop.

VII. Indemnity and Insurance

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hanna Kupny, True Self Project Group Ltd, and any assisting staff against any losses, claims, costs, or expenses that arise directly from your breach of these terms, including but not limited to providing inaccurate or incomplete medical information, or breaching the sobriety requirement set out above. This indemnity does not apply to any losses, claims, costs, or expenses arising from our own negligence or breach of duty.

The TrueSelf Project™ holds professional indemnity and public liability insurance appropriate to the nature of the work and the modalities we offer, including Ceremonial and Ritual Work. This insurance is held to protect both you and us, and does not alter the Limitation of Liability set out above. Confirmation of our cover can be provided on request where this is reasonably required.

VIII. Ceremonial and Ritual Work

Ceremonial and Ritual Work may include the ceremonial use of plant-based elements that form part of long-standing ceremonial and ritual traditions, offered in a spirit of reverence and reciprocity. These elements are entirely optional, are offered separately from, and in addition to, the core modality you have booked, and you are warmly welcome to decline any or all of them without affecting your participation, your experience, or the welcome you receive.

The plant-based elements that may be offered include:

  • Ceremonial cacao: a traditional plant-based drink, prepared from the cacao bean and offered as part of the opening of a ceremony.
  • Sananga: plant-based eye drops, traditionally used in some South American ceremonial traditions, applied in small quantities directly to the eyes.
  • Hapé (or rapé): a finely ground plant powder, traditionally containing tobacco (Nicotiana rustica) together with other plant ash and botanicals, applied to the nostrils using a pipe.
  • Bobinsana: a plant-based preparation, traditionally taken as a tea or flower essence as part of ceremonial work.
  • Palo santo and white sage: aromatic woods and herbs, traditionally burned for their scent as part of a ceremony or ritual cleansing.
  • Cinnamon and other aromatics: plant-based preparations used for their scent and flavour as part of a ceremony.

None of these elements are medicines, and none are offered, described, or intended as a treatment, diagnosis, or cure for any medical, psychological, or psychiatric condition. They are offered for ceremonial, ritual, and wellbeing purposes only, in keeping with the Medical and Psychological Boundaries set out in section III above.

To the best of our knowledge, none of the plant-based elements described above is a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. If the legal status of any element changes, or if we introduce any new element, we will review this section accordingly.

Hapé (rapé) traditionally contains tobacco. In line with the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, hapé is offered only to participants aged eighteen and over, and proof of age may be requested. This applies regardless of any other arrangements for participants under eighteen described elsewhere in these terms, and without exception.

In addition to the contraindications set out in section III above, please tell us in advance if any of the following apply to you, so that we can discuss which elements, if any, are suitable for you:

  • any condition affecting the eyes, including glaucoma, recent eye surgery, or retinal detachment (relevant to sananga);
  • any heart or circulatory condition, or high blood pressure (relevant to cacao, bobinsana, and hapé);
  • pregnancy or breastfeeding (relevant to all plant-based elements);
  • use of tobacco, nicotine replacement therapy, or any related product (relevant to hapé);
  • any current medication, including monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), or other antidepressant or psychiatric medication (relevant to cacao and bobinsana); and
  • any respiratory condition, asthma, or sensitivity to smoke or strong scent (relevant to palo santo, white sage, and cinnamon).

Where sananga or hapé are offered, single-use or freshly sterilised applicators are used for each participant.

In addition to the acknowledgement of risk set out in section V above, by choosing to take part in any element of Ceremonial and Ritual Work, you acknowledge that these are traditional plant-based preparations, that their effects can vary between individuals, and that you participate in this element entirely voluntarily, having had the opportunity to ask questions and, where you choose, to decline.

Where plant-based elements are sourced from outside the United Kingdom, we aim to work with suppliers who source ethically and sustainably, and we acknowledge the indigenous and traditional lineages from which these practices originate.

Your consent to take part in any element of Ceremonial and Ritual Work is sought separately and specifically, in addition to your general agreement to these terms, and is recorded as part of the explicit consent described in our Privacy and Confidentiality policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions, gently answered

The most common questions that arrive before a journey with the TrueSelf Project™. If your question is not here, please reach out to Hanna directly.

Beginning the Journey

What is the TrueSelf Project™?

The TrueSelf Project™ is a holistic, transpersonal practice founded by Hanna Kupny, weaving together Hypnotherapy, Inner Child work, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Grof® Breathwork, SandStory® Therapy, and Ceremonial & Ritual Work. The work is designed for adults ready to meet themselves at depth, in a structured, sacred container.

I have never done this kind of work before. Where do I start?

Begin with a free consultation call. It costs nothing, takes around thirty minutes, and helps both of us decide which modality is the right entry point for you. You can book it from the Bookings page or by phoning 07824 859 282 (WhatsApp preferred).

Which modality is right for me?

It depends on what you are bringing. Hypnotherapy is good for habits, fears and limiting patterns. Inner Child Journey is ideal where early-life wounds are running the show. NLP is brief, practical, and astonishingly effective once the deeper layers are settled. Grof® Breathwork is a profound transpersonal opener for those drawn to non-ordinary states. SandStory® Therapy speaks where words cannot. Ceremonial & Ritual Work marks transitions and anchors integration. The free consultation call is the simplest way to decide together.

Can I have sessions online instead of in person?

Yes. Hypnotherapy, Inner Child Journey, and NLP are offered online by video call, at our practice space, or at your own home, depending on what best supports your process. Grof® Breathwork, SandStory® Therapy and Ceremonial & Ritual Work are held in person only because the work requires a physical container.

How long does each session last?

A taster session is one hour. A standard one-to-one session is typically ninety minutes to two hours. A Grof® Breathwork session, including the full three-stage integration, takes around five hours. Ceremonies vary depending on the rite and are confirmed at booking.

Do you offer a free consultation call?

Yes, for every one-to-one modality. The link to book is on each tile in the Bookings, Workshops & Events page.

The Work Itself

What does a session feel like?

Every modality is different and every person is different, so the surface experience varies enormously. The common thread is that you remain in full control throughout. The facilitator’s role is to hold a safe, unshakeable boundary so that your own inner intelligence can do the work.

Will I lose control or be made to do anything I do not want to do?

No. Nothing happens without your consent. Hypnotherapy is not a stage-show trance: you remain aware throughout and can speak, move and adjust at any time. In ceremonial work, every element is offered separately and you are warmly welcome to decline any or all of it without affecting your participation or the welcome you receive.

What if I have a strong emotional or physical release?

Strong release is part of the work and is welcomed. The container is built precisely so this can happen safely. Hanna remains intimately present, with bodywork, breath cues, or simple stillness, depending on what is needed. Integration support is built into every session.

Is this a substitute for psychotherapy or medical treatment?

No. None of the modalities offered by the TrueSelf Project™ are a treatment, diagnosis, or cure for any medical or psychiatric condition. They are offered for personal development, self-exploration and wellbeing. If you are receiving clinical care, please continue it; we are happy to work alongside that, not instead of it.

What happens after a session? Is there integration support?

Yes. Every session ends with an integration moment, and you can reach Hanna by phone, WhatsApp, or email for follow-up questions in the days that follow. Group ceremonies always include a witnessed sharing circle as part of the close.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people experience meaningful shift in three to six sessions. Some come for a single deep encounter; others stay for a longer arc. There is no fixed protocol. We will talk openly about what is needed as we go.

Ceremonial & Ritual Work

What does Ceremonial & Ritual Work involve?

It is structured ceremonial work that marks transitions, honours lineages, and anchors integration. It may include ceremonial cacao, sananga, hapé (rapé), bobinsana, palo santo and white sage, and other aromatics, drawn from long-standing ceremonial traditions. Every element is optional. Full details are on the Bookings page and in our Terms and Conditions.

Are the plant-based elements legal in the United Kingdom?

Yes. To the best of our knowledge, none of the plant-based elements we offer is a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Hapé (rapé) traditionally contains tobacco, so it is offered only to participants aged eighteen and over in line with the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016. We do not offer ayahuasca, psilocybin, or any other controlled substance.

Can I take part in a ceremony without using any of the plant elements?

Absolutely. Every plant element is offered separately and is entirely optional. You can be fully present in the ceremony and decline any or all of them, including cacao, sananga, hapé or smoke, without affecting your participation, your experience, or the welcome you receive.

What if I am sensitive to smoke or scent?

Please tell us in advance. We can adjust ventilation, use an alternative space, or omit smoke and scent altogether. Our Accessibility Statement sets this out in full.

What is the minimum age for ceremonial work?

Eighteen, without exception. This applies regardless of any arrangements made for other modalities.

Are there any health conditions that would mean ceremonial work is not suitable?

Yes. For example glaucoma or significant eye conditions (sananga), heart or circulatory conditions and high blood pressure (cacao, bobinsana, hapé), pregnancy or breastfeeding, current use of MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) or SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), and respiratory or smoke sensitivities. The full screening list is in our Terms and Conditions, and we discuss it privately with you in advance.

Practical Matters

How much does a session cost?

Pricing varies by modality and format. A free consultation call is offered for every one-to-one modality. For specific pricing, please book the consultation call or contact us directly, and we will be transparent about cost during that conversation.

How do I pay, and what is your deposit policy?

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. For individual sessions, the balance is due one week before the session. For events and workshops, the balance is due three weeks before the event. Full cancellation terms are in our Terms and Conditions.

What is your cancellation policy?

For individual sessions: cancel two weeks ahead for a full deposit refund, between one and two weeks for 50%, and less than one week is non-refundable. For events: cancel six weeks ahead for a full refund, between four and six weeks for 50%, and less than four weeks is non-refundable. Short-notice cancellations may be transferred to a future date where possible. Full details in our Terms and Conditions.

Where do the sessions take place?

One-to-one sessions are offered online by video call, at our practice space, or at your own home. Group workshops, ceremonies, and Grof® Breathwork sessions are held at carefully curated community and home-based venues, confirmed at the time of booking together with the relevant accessibility details.

Is your space accessible?

Accessibility varies between venues because each space is different. Before you book, we will share the specific accessibility details for the venue, including step-free access, seating, parking, and toilet facilities. If you have specific needs, please reach out in advance and we will hold a supportive dialogue to ensure all reasonable adjustments are made. See our Accessibility Statement.

Is what I share kept confidential?

Yes, absolutely. Your medical and personal narratives are treated as strictly confidential, accessible only to the core facilitation team and, where strictly necessary for your safety, vetted co-facilitators. Full details in our Privacy and Confidentiality policy.

Do you work with people under eighteen?

Some modalities, such as NLP or SandStory® Therapy, can be offered to participants under eighteen with the consent of a parent or person with parental responsibility, and subject to safeguarding arrangements. Ceremonial & Ritual Work, including any plant-based elements, is offered only to participants aged eighteen and over, without exception.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. The Heart Couple Ceremony is specifically designed for partners and held with both of you in mind. Hypnotherapy and Inner Child work can also be offered to couples in tandem; the consultation call is the best place to decide what suits.

Are you insured?

Yes. The TrueSelf Project™ holds professional indemnity and public liability insurance appropriate to the nature of the work we offer, including Ceremonial & Ritual Work. Confirmation can be provided on request.

How do I get in touch?

By email at contact@trueselfproject.co.uk or by phone on 07824 859 282 (WhatsApp preferred).

If your question is not answered here, please contact Hanna directly. We are always glad to talk before you book.
